Share “What’s New” at Westfield Memorial Library’s Story Slam!

WESTFIELD, NJ—Attention aspiring writers and storytellers: Keep track of what happens on or around Jan. 1. You are invited to share your New Year’s stories on Jan. 9 at The Westfield Memorial Library’s first Story Slam! of 2013.

Story Slams are personal storytelling events that the library, located at 550 East Broad Street, holds quarterly. The theme of January’s event is “What’s New?” Participants are invited to tell other storytellers and listeners about how they celebrated the New Year, resolutions kept or broken and favorite memories of New Year’s Eve.

This event is free and open to Westfield Memorial Library and MURAL cardholders (Middlesex Union Reciprocal Agreement Libraries. Visit www.wmlnj.org to see if your library participates.).
