FAIRFIELD, NJ - Thursday evening at 7pm, the Fairfield Free Public Library is hosting a presentation entitled: “Ellis Island! Passage to All Things Possible.”

30 year acting veteran and historian, Mark Simmons, will introduce the audience to three characters traveling to America from Poland, Ireland and Italy. His well-researched history of Ellis Island and its arrivals contributes to the tales of each immigrant leaving their homelands, crossing the Atlantic and ultimately coming to America against insurmountable odds. Simmons will detail how each made the unlikely crossing.

The library issued a statement expressing that Simmons’ work is a “compelling narrative” comprised of three monologues which make Passages a “harrowing, humorous and at times, heart-wrenching experience that you will not soon forget.”

This presentation is free and open to the public but the library would prefer you let them know you will be attending.  Please call 973-227-3575.
