The Perks:
Branchburg is a bit of trek, but this super-cute “kiddie-land” is worth the drive. From babies to 10 year olds, Kid Junction is a fun, clean, safe place to play and explore.
The “just-big-enough” space is divided into various sections including an arcade, animal hospital, dress-up, supermarket, post office, and a “soft play area” filled with slides, tunnels, and climbing galore. There is even a little “3 and under only” section so that the little guys can play without getting trampled. My 14-month-old son’s favorite was a huge light-up peg board (just like a super-sized version of the Light Bright toy I used to play with when I was young) where he could stick giant pegs into lit-up holes. Fun, fun, fun!!
The KJ Café was a nice surprise - - clean, fast, and plenty of yummy (and even healthy!) choices for kids. An added bonus was the many hand sanitizer dispensers, for a quick and easy “handwash” before eating.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about this place was the safety features. Upon entering, parent and child are stamped with an ultra-violet light number. Before leaving the locked exit, the child and parent are checked to ensure that the numbers match. Pretty smart!
The $6.50 admission ticket (for kids under 2) was a bargain in my book! Kids over 2 are $8.95 and adults and infants are free.

The Poops:
You can’t see Kid Junction from the road. Be on the look-out for the “Branchburg Commons” and remember: Building 12!
Due to birthday parties, there isn’t always room to drop in and play on the weekends. It’s a good idea to call beforehand to find out the status. Oh, and don’t forget to bring socks: they are required!
