Stuart Vorcheimer, Senior Vice President Middle Market Banking at Capital One Bank in Fairfield, New Jersey, was elected Chairman of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges Board of Directors at the YMCA’s Board meeting in June. He succeeds outgoing Chair Kenneth D. King, Ed.D.

Vorcheimer, an active volunteer with the YMCA since 2002 and most recently its Treasurer, and Finance Committee Chairman, has also served on the Association Audit Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Annual Kids Care Club Golf Tournament.

“I’m honored to serve on the Board of the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges. In my committee work, I have been called on for my expertise in finance regarding matters of fiscal policy and direction.  However, over time I have come to appreciate a different bottom line when it comes to the Y… its simply our mission: Strengthen community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” said Vorcheimer. “As Chairman of the Board of Directors, I am excited to continue to work with the Y leadership team to continue the direction and execution of our strategic vision.

Vorcheimer graduated from the University of Hartford and earned his Bank Lending diploma from Stern School of Business at New York University.
