I would like to personally offer my best wishes to our own Fanwood resident, Mindy Scarlett, for much success as she launches TheAlternativePress.com in Scotch Plains-Fanwood. It is exciting to know that Fanwood will be a major focus of this on-line newspaper as well as being a resource for all things happening in and around our great Borough.
I look forward to sharing information with The Alternative Press that will help keep our residents informed and alerted to the actions and activities by their local government. My goal has always been to have an open and transparent government and The Alternative Press will be another resource which I plan to use to communicate with our residents.
In the age where we are seeing less not more local news coverage by our local area papers, I am heartened to know that we now have one more "go to" media source for quick updates on what makes the communities of Fanwood and Scotch Plains so special and unique.
2012 will see many exciting developments to Fanwood's downtown, in its parks and with a diverse array of cultural offerings, I encourage you to use The Alternative Press as a reliable and accurate source of everything Fanwood. I know I will.
