Westfield’s Burnett Plastic Surgery and Sole Italian Shoes Team Up for Night of Fashion and Beauty

WESTFIELD, NJ—On October 11, about 50 people gathered at Sole Italian Shoes to shop, socialize and learn about Ultherapy, a cosmetic procedure offered by Burnett Plastic Surgery that uses ultrasound to make patients look years younger and more beautiful without the risks and downtime associated with surgery.
During a presentation that evening, Dr. C. Duncan Burnett explained that skin loses its elasticity and underlying muscles sag as people get older. “As we age, everything moves inward and downward,” he said.
Ultherapy reverses that effect by stimulating the growth of new collagen. For months after the treatment, which can be performed on the face and neck, a gradual tightening and firming occurs, which results in a natural lift of the skin. Results can last from 12 to 18 months.
When shown the results in a slide show, many in the shop exclaimed “Wow!” Burnett explained that the discomfort (which can vary from patient to patient) is not felt beyond the day of treatment. Afterwards, there can be two to three weeks of facial tenderness with no visible bruising or swelling.
A drawing was held that evening for gift certificates for future treatments and a skin care system. Those in attendance were eligible for discounts on future treatments, as well.
