Westfield Marching Blue Devils Win First in Their Category at Hillsborough Competition

WESTFIELD, NJ--On October 13, the Westfield High School Marching Blue Devils attended a competition at David A. Noonan field in Hillsborough. The competition was hosted by USBands, formerly known as the USSBA.
Twenty marching bands from all over New Jersey came to compete. Westfield won in their category with a score of 79.775, also taking the prize for Best Music, Best Visual and Best Effect in their category.
When asked how it felt to win, Westfield High School Senior and Colorguard Captain Barrie Knapp told TAP, "It was awesome. Band has the best high school memories!"
The next competition the Westfield Marching Blue Devils will take part in will be at East Brunswick High School on October 27.
