Westfield Celebrates “Restaurant Week” With Specials and Discounts Sept. 30 to Oct. 11

WESTFIELD, NJ—For two weeks, from September 30 to October 11, Westfield restaurants, dessert shops and wine stores will offer special discounts as part of Downtown Westfield’s Fall Restaurant Week 2012, sponsored by Downtown Westfield Corporation.
During the two-week event, participating restaurants will offer a two-course lunch for $10. Excluding Friday and Saturday nights, most will also offer a two-course dinner for $20, while Limani Seafood Grill and Acquaviva della fonti will offer special three-course dinners for $30. Tax and gratuity not included.
Meanwhile, buy-one, get-one-free desserts will be available from Bovella’s Pastry Shoppe, Cold Stone Creamery, FroYo, Swirl Whirl Yogurt Buffet and Yapple Yogurt. Wine discounts—perfect for BYO dinners—will be available from CoolVines, The Liquor Basket and Westfield Wine & Liquor.
“Westfield has so many great eating establishments. Restaurant Week provides an opportunity for people to come out to their favorite restaurant or try a different restaurant and see what they have to offer,” said Sherry Cronin, executive director of the Downtown Westfield Corporation.
The DWC borrowed the idea for Restaurant Week three years ago from New York City, according to Jamie Lemberg, online marketing manager. Westfield holds two a year—one in the fall and one in the winter.
“These discounted prices will allow more people than usual to try new restaurants and come out and dine outside while the weather is still warm,” added Lemberg.
Participating restaurants include: 16 Prospect Wine Bar & Bistro, Acquaviva delle fonti, Ana Beall’s Tea Room, The Brick Oven, Boulevard Bistro, Cosimo’s, Gabi’s Sushi & Noodles, Isabella's American Bistro, Jeffrey's of Westfield, Limani Seafood Grill, Mojave Grille, Robert Treat Delicatessen, Splash of Thai, Theresa's and Wild Greens.
