Summit Hilltoppers Defeat New Providence Pioneers 2-0 in Varsity Boys Soccer

NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – The Summit Hilltoppers defeated the New Providence Pioneers in varsity soccer on a cold Tuesday evening, October 9th, at New Providence’s Lieder Field, 2-0.
At only 37:33 in the first half, the Hilltoppers scored a goal giving them a 1-0 lead early in the game.
At 37:26 of the second half, the Summit Hilltoppers scored a goal giving them a 2-0 lead over the Pioneers.
New Providence High School Head Boy’s Soccer Coach, Ted Niedzielski, told TheAlternativePress.com, “We started slowly in both halves, but overall we played well. Defensively we were solid. We just needed a few breaks on offense.”
As for what Coach Niedzielski would like to see changed going forward, he said, “Just starting faster. By the time we were warmed up we were already behind.”
