Romney's Knee Jerk Reaction Is Not Presidential

To the Editor:
A convicted fraud, who falsely claims to be an Israeli Jew, produces a
film that knocks Islam, hoping to cash in on the infamous sensitivity
of radical Muslims to caricatures of Mohamed.
The American embassy, seeking to head off mob violence generated by
the film in Cairo, issues a statement denouncing the film for what it
is, a cheap but dangerous provocation, the message of which is not
endorsed by the United States government.
The mob is not quelled. It storms the embassy.
Mitt Romney’s reaction? Before he learns what has actually happened,
he castigates President Obama for the embassy’s attempt to calm the
situation before damage was done, asserting that the ambassador’s
message constitutes appeasement by the President.
Subsequently, when he finally learns the facts and the chain of
events, Romney doubles down on his attack, which by now is obviously
patently absurd.
This is the man the Republicans would have us put in charge of the White House?
