On behalf of the Executive Board and Members of the Bronze Shields of Passaic County, I would like to express my condolences to the families of the children and adults who were injured or lost their lives today during the horrific event that took place in Newtown, Conn..
These cowardly events must come to an end. Now is the time for us to stand together and pray for those who can no longer pray for themselves. It is at times like this, that we began to consider our own families and friends. Let us all learn to love a little better and hug a little tighter.
You never know if this time is the last time. Let us also pray for the First Responders who will have the images of this act of Domestic Terrorism etched forever in their minds. These professionals are responsible for responding to these types of incidents and perform without hesitation, and they do. For that we should all be thankful. However, the emotional scars will last for a long time to come. Again our condolences and prayers go out to all of those who were affected by this cowardly act.
