Your Mind is the Fertile Crescent of Your Being

If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it.

Reverend Jesse Jackson

It all starts with a thought in the mind. Yes, the mind—the fertile crescent of our beings. The mind is the place where all is born.

What does your mind look like inside? Is it clear? Is it cloudy? Are you focused or confused? Do thoughts fall out logically, illogically, creatively, and/or as jumbled seeds of despair. Whatever is, is borne in the fertile crescents of our minds.

Our brains are only a small part of our minds. Even some of the most challenged brains have proven to be geniuses in mind. Remember the movie “A Beautiful Mind?” John Nash, a genius in mind, also had to deal with chemical imbalances in the brain. However, those chemical imbalances, which may be called imperfections, did not hinder Nash from discovering a mathematical equation, which garnered him the Nobel Prize in Mathematics. His mind conceived it, his heart believed it, and he achieved it. And so can you.

How often do you dismiss an idea, an invention, something new and improved? If, instead, you dismiss the limitations you put on your idea, you will be more likely to see your idea become a reality. Whether it’s losing weight, making that first million, or being the first in your field to accomplish what you want to accomplish, all you have to do is conceive it, believe, and achieve it.

I know I can achieve it!
