Young Adults with Special Needs Thrive at Westfield Area Y

The Program Sampler for Young Adults with Special Needs debuted this past Saturday. Participants and their parents enjoyed a nutrition demonstration and fresh juice prepared by Arielle Cassidy, owner of The Juice House in Garwood.

Volunteers Jayne Ruotolo, Alex Jackman, and Diane Mirabelli helped Y instructors Lynne Applebaum, Monya Taylor, and Paul Garwood facilitate a workout for the participants. Participants and volunteers were given water bottles made by Advance Promotions of Westfield.

The Program Sampler, organized by Ben Nanna, is free thanks to the proceeds of Greta’s Run. You do not need to be a Y member to participate. If you’re interested in volunteering for upcoming classes, have ideas, questions, or want to participate contact, Ben Nanna - bnanna@westfieldynj.org
