Woman Charged with Multiple Driving Violations and Drug Possession

LIVINGSTON, NJ – Livingston Municipal Court heard one case on Thursday, Oct, 10.
Kristina Brecka from 324 East Cedar Street was charged with improper turn, failure to exhibit a driver’s license, no liability insurance and a disorderly person’s offense for possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana.
Brecka’s driving violation was downgraded to unsafe driving and she was given a fine of $156 with $33 court cost and a $250 state surcharge. Her charge for failing to exhibit a driver’s license was dismissed with a $33 court fee and her charge for driving without liability insurance was downgraded to failing to exhibit an insurance card. This was also dismissed with a $33 court fee.
For her drug possession charge, Brecka entered into a one year conditional discharge program. She was charged a $33 court fee, $50 to the Victims of Crime Compensation Organization, $50 for the state laboratory, $50 to the D.A.R.E fund and a $75 conditional discharge fee.
