Winter Storm Expected to Bring 13.3" to the West Essex Area, Now Increased to 16.5"

Scattered Snow began at 12:30 a.m.
Thursday morning; 9.7" accumulated as of 2 p.m. The forecast has been increased to 16.5" of Snow.

WINTER STORM WARNING
At 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Warning is expected to be in effect from midnight Wednesday until 6 a.m. Friday morning. The advisory was issued because of the likelihood of heavy snow and ice accumulation, strong winds, low visibility and dangerously cold wind chill temperatures which will all affect travel.  

Ahead of the storm, Governor Chris Christie declared a State of Emergency
