Wine Tasting Art Show Features 14 Regional Artists and Top Gallo Wines,

Thirteen professional artists from the Southern New Jersey region and one guest artist will exhibit and sell their creations at the Fourth Annual 'At the Shore Wine Tasting Art Show,' a hospitality scholarship benefit being held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Atlantic City Country Club in Northfield. The $25 ticket price also includes a tasting selection of red and white wines from Gallo Wines, accompanied by hors d'oeuvres and jazz music by the Edie Morgan Trio. A cashbar will also be available.

Artists include: * Kathleen M. Arleth of Somers Point, showing landscapes and streetscapes in watercolor and pen and ink; * Jon Baker, an Atlantic County artist working in contemporary art depicting shore life and landmarks; * Danielle Beaty, a jewelry artist whose designs reflect her love of the sea; * Mike Bell, born and raised at the Jersey Shore, whose paintings blend nostalgia, humor, vivid color and a combination of influences; * Cathleen Engelson, an Ocean County native working in watercolor, oils and acrylics and known for well-researched historical paintings of the New Jersey coast; * Linda Gazi, a watercolorist from Somers Point and custom picture framer; * Jane Ann Hart, whose richly colored photographs of the New Jersey have been widely shown; * Cheryl Knowles-Harrigan, an illustrator, printmaker and art teacher from Milmay whose works have been shown throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania; * Steve Kuzma, a Southern New Jersey resident who whose Impressionist techniques have a strong sense of color and motion; * Ginny Mulford, a resident of Petersburg who has illustrated children's books, painted murals and creates pencil portraits; * Michael Waters, an Atlantic City native who has traveled and worked throughout the world and whose art is shown extensively throughout New Jersey; * Linda Wexler, who has lived and worked in Southern New Jersey for the past 20 years and has designed a set of giclee matted prints and note cards with a culinary arts theme specifically for this event; * Leonard Wilkinson, a native New Jerseyan who studied illustration, does custom framing and teaches art workshops. * A special guest artist exhibit will feature the work of the Atlantic City Country Club's famed Chef Edward K. Daggers of Galloway. He is a self-taught artist who has been drawing and painting since he was very young.

Prize drawings during the evening will include two wearable items autographed by actress and artist Jane Seymour; a basket from Equity Communications with items from 95.1 WAYV radio, 96.1 WTTH radio, 99.3 KISS radio and WZXL.com; a "Do AC" basket from the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority; an overnight stay at the Sheraton Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority; a basket from the Press of Atlantic City; an advertising package for your business from Longport Media; and wine baskets. A limited number of tickets, priced at just $25, are available for the event.

The annual arts event provides funds for a scholarship program administered by the Greater Atlantic City Concierge Association and the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority Foundation. Since the program began, 15 scholarships have been provided to hospitality majors at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Atlantic Cape Community College and Farleigh Dickenson University. For the first time, non-traditional, part-time students are eligible for the scholarships. The Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority Foundation was formed by the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority to support efforts that expand multi-cultural tourism and hospitality interests in the region.
