A society that indulges in superficial abundance while ignoring the tragic fate of the common man, sound familiar? This timeless conflict of our world that frames our political consciousness is reflected in the play Aria da capo, an amusing and powerful one-act play in verse by Edna St. Vincent Millay. It aims at raising social conscience while entertaining the audience with contrasting theatrical styles, lyrically poetic dialogue and exotic characters. While it may not change your vote, it may enrich your vision of what’s at stake.
Unity of Sussex County presents Play & Cafe, an evening of theatre and music on October 13 at 7:00 p.m. The play Aria da capo will be directed by Jerry Pagano and the Cafe features Rick Karabetsos and the Unity Music Team.
