Monday, November 4, 2013 • 12:00am
MADISON, NJ - “Although our interests as citizens vary, each one is an artery to the heart that pumps life through the body politic, and each is important to the health of democracy,” said author Ralph Waldo Emerson.
“Those who stay away from the election think that one vote will do no good: ‘Tis but one step more to think one vote will do no harm,” said journalist Bill Moyers.
“Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting,” said Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Madison candidates running for council are:
Republican - Robert Catalanello, Woodland Road and Pat Rowe, Pine Avenue
Democratic - Maureen Byrne, Albright Circle and Jeff Gertler, Pomeroy Road
Independent - Sam Cerciello
Polling is from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Locations remain the same. If you are unable to vote the day of the election, you can vote in person the day before at the County Clerk's Office.
