Whole Foods of Madison to Donate 5% of Store's Net Profits on June 7th to Grow it Green Morristown

Don’t you just love when you can help a good cause just by doing what you always do? If you shop at Whole Foods of Madison that opportunity is coming your way on Tuesday, June 7th.
Whole Foods of Madison has partnered with Grow It Green Morristown and is donating 5% of the store’s net profits from sales on Tuesday, June 7th to Grow It Green Morristown. Grow It Green Morristown in a non-profit organization in Morristown, NJ that is committed to outreach, education and building community. Grow It Green Morristown operates the Early Street Community Garden and the Urban Farm at the Lafayette Learning Center.
The Urban Farm is a working farm located on property belonging to the Morris School District which is used for education as well as growing food for the local community. Students from the Morris School District have all visited the Urban Farm to learn about sustainable agriculture and sample the delicious produce! Produce from the Urban Farm also benefits organizations like the Interfaith Food Pantry and the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown.
The Urban Farm holds market days where the public can purchase produce grown on the farm. Saturday market days begin on June 18th and additional market days will be added on Thursday evenings later in the growing season. The Urban Farm also offers public classes, cooking demonstrations and much more.
