SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – There is never a shortage of hometown Christmas events in South Plainfield.

A few of the sights that made for a picture-perfect Christmas this year included Project Santa, sponsored by the Volunteer Fire Department; the McCriskin-Gustafson Funeral Home Tree Lighting; and a pasta dinner with Santa Claus sponsored by the Lions Club, South Plainfield EMS, and the mayor and council

The Middle School Band entertained parents and teachers attending this month’s Board of Education meeting, and Jack Pedersen Realty held a holiday open house. Not to be outdone, the South Plainfield senior citizens held a holiday party, as did the South Plainfield Business Association, and South Plainfield Funeral Home held a “Night of Remembrance.”

A mid-December snowstorm decorated the town in white just in time for the borough to put up its outdoor decorations, and Borough Hall got a new tree adorned in blue and white.  These just a few of the things that go into a South Plainfield Christmas.
