BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Westminster Presbyterian Church upheld the standard and tradition of Vacation Bible School (VBS) for area children last week, July 21 through 25, hosting nearly 85 children and over 60 volunteers for a week of faith and fun. This year's Jungle Safari theme was centered around the Nature of God and was led in most part by alumni of the same program. Volunteers ranged in age from 12 to 92 years of age.
The camp held a Spare Change for Change drive, raising $550 for Village2Village, an organization that provides comprehensive, empowering, respectful and compassionate care for vulnerable children and their families,
one life at a time, making children and families who have one parent affected by HIV/AIDS or violence a priority.
"VBS at Westminster has been considered the gold standard in the area, due to the church's commitment to children and family ministries," said VBS Director Carol Osbourne. Visit www.wpcbh.org to learn more about youth programs in store for the coming season.
