Westfield’s Fred Astaire Dance Studio Holds its Grand Opening

WESTFIELD, NJ--On October 20, Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Westfield celebrated its grand opening with an open house during the day and a grand opening celebration that night. Members of the community had the opportunity to explore all that Fred Astaire has to offer in the world of social dance.
Inside the elegant ballroom that evening there was fine food, dancing and a variety of thrilling performances by some of the studio’s professional ballroom dancers.
“I think it’s going to show Westfield how wonderful dance is and what we have to offer,” said Michael J. Conklin, Co-Owner/Manager, of the event. “The fun, the partying, the people getting together. It’s a social venue for the people in town and just something to do. We feel that one thing Westfield lacks is dancing. There's no dancing here. That’s why we came here—we want people to see what we do and how fun it is. And hopefully the studio will be here for 50 years or even more.”
