WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield Memorial Library announced Wednesday that it has added OneClickdigital, a downloadable audiobook service that complements the library’s existing e-book services.

OneClickdigital offers exclusive New York Times best sellers and Recorded Book titles unavailable anywhere else. Some of its new titles include The City by Dean Koontz, Ghost Ship by Clive Cussler, Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker by Jennifer Chiaverini and Round House by Louise Erdrich, as well as classics including Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne and Call of the Wild by Jack London.

Library patrons can access these audiobooks from anywhere. The e-books are compatible with all popular listening devices, according to the library, including Apple’s, and of the titles are downloadable from iPhone, Android and Kindle Fire apps.

“It’s exciting to be able to offer our patrons additional downloadable audiobooks,” said Library Director Phil Israel in a press release. “We hope that by adding OneClickdigital we can offer more popular books than ever before. Besides the expanded collection of titles, you have the convenience of being able to download audio books to your computer, mobile device or e-reader.”

For many years the library has offered free access to downloadable audio books and e-books through the eLibraryNJ consortium. Two years ago, it added OverDrive Advantage, which provides additional e-books to Westfield patrons exclusively.

Freading was added in 2013, increasing the number of available titles significantly and providing simplicity and compatibility with multiple devices.

To gain access to the OneClickdigital titles, Westfield patrons can click here. Titles can be checked out for up to 10 days and are automatically “returned” when the lending period has expired. As with other e-books, there are no late fees.
