WESTFIELD, NJ — The Westfield Community Concert Band and the Edison Intermediate School Broadway Singers will join together for their 23rd annual joint holiday concert at Edison Intermediate School on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. The free event is hosted by the Westfield Recreation Department.

“This concert would be enjoyed by children and adults because it will everyone to experience live instrumental and choral music, which is becoming a rather unique experience when more and more of the music we hear is recorded or electronic,” said Band President Barry Rosenberg. “The program includes a wide variety of traditional and classical melodies along with popular selections that will be easily recognized, such as ‘Sleigh Ride’ and ‘Most Wonderful World.’ Even if you may not know the name of these selections, you will recognize the music, which is widely played on the radio each year during the holiday season.”

This event culminates a year-long series of performances by the Westfield Community Concert Band in celebration of the its 101st anniversary concert season. The band is conducted by Dr. Thomas Connors, now in his ninth season here. Westfield music educator Kenneth M.
