Westfield Area Y Offers Active Older Adult Programs for a Healthier You this Spring

The Westfield Area Y is pleased to offer an array of programs for the active older adult this Spring at the Main Y Facility 220 Clark Street in Westfield.
For the bridge lover, the Y offers various levels for your playing pleasure such as Introduction to Bridge, Novice Bridge Topics, Intermediate Bridge Topics, Supervised Play and new this session, Small Group Lesson. Bridge programs are taught by Robin Gillett, ACBL accredited bridge instructor and ACBL Tournament Director.
Literature Club is a long-running book club favorite that meets at the Y to discuss current and classic literature. The Club meets Tuesdays beginning March 5th.
Overlook Hospital will be offering Blood Pressure and BMI screenings at the Y on March 20th from 10:00 am – 11:30 am.
A special Spring Concert Event is offered on Wednesday, March 20th from Noon – 2:30 pm. There will be a musical performance by award-winning singer-songwriter Julian Hernandez. His faithful renditions of Nat King Cole, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Louis Armstrong and Barry White make a favorite amongst all music lovers. Registration required by March 6th.
A wide variety of land and water-based exercise programs are offered each session, ranging from Senior Exercise and Fitness Dance Medley to Arthritis Aquatics and Project Healthy Bones.
