Westfield Area Y Hosts Free Events that Bring Families Together

The Westfield Area Y is pleased to announce September special events held at the Main Y Facility, 220 Clark Street or at the Robert & Virginia Bauer Family Branch, 422 East Broad Street in Westfield. All events are free and open to the community.
OVERLOOK MEDICAL CENTER AT THE WESTFIELD AREA Y – GLUCLOSE SCREENING
September 11th, 10:00 am – 11:30 am, Main Y Facility
The Y is proud to partner with Overlook Medical Center to offer health education and screenings to the community. Participants need to register at 1-800-247-9580.
Sunday, September 15th, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Main Y Facility
Help the Y celebrate their 90th year with a FREE community party filled with fun, food andfriends! Activities will be held outside on Ferris Place and inside the Main Y facility. Plenty of action for adults and kids of all ages!
FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Friday, September 20th at dusk (Rain date, September 21st), Elm Street Field (across from Stop & Shop). In partnership with Spencer Bank, the Y is celebrating its 90th anniversary with a FREE FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT! Bring a picnic blanket and enjoy Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. A free gift will be given for the first 500 families!

Back to school time can be hectic--make sure that you and your family are properly fueled
throughout the day with healthy breakfast and snack options provided by Heather Marino, MS, RD from Shoprite of Garwood. Recipe ideas and samples will be provided!
