West Orange School Budget Presentation Scheduled for Wednesday, March 27

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange Board of Education will hold a Budget Presentation for the 2013-2014 school budget on Wednesday, March 27, at 8:00 pm in the Library Media Center at West Orange High School.
The preliminary budget is posted on the Woboe website at http://www.woboe.org/Board/Budget/2013_2014%20Budget.pdf
Further reductions can be expected by the time the budget is presented to the public. The district can not exceed the 2 percent cap imposed by Governor Christie, so look for an increase of about 1.3 percent.
Check back on the www.woboe.org website prior to Wednesday's meeting in the event the preliminary budget has been revised.
West Orange residents will not vote on the budget as long as it stays below the 2 percent cap.
(The Town Council voted to approve their 2013-2014 Introduction on the Township Budget at the Tuesday, Town Council Meeting. The public hearing for the township budget will be April 23, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, Council Chambers located at 66 Main St. An increase of 1.8 percent has been proposed. Essex County has proposed a 1.75 percent increase in County Taxes.)
