WEST ORANGE, NJ - On Wednesday, Aug.14, the Moxie Exchange Movement launched at WOPAS (West Orange Product and Services), 271 Main Street.

Co-founded in March 2012 by West Orange resident Maritza Brown and Pablo Jose Mir, the WOPAS location provides physical space for businesses to display their products or services and engage with an online site that refers residents to pre-screened service providers. The space can be utilized by any WOPAS member and used for their products. To become a member, a business must come well-referred and prove to be reliable, responsible and reasonably-priced.

Today's launch of the Moxie Exchange Movement provided an introduction to the business and organization, and its enthusiastic coordinator, Gayle Naftaly.  Gayle, who recently moved to West Orange, was excited to discuss the Moxie Exchange Movement, describing it and its components, which include: Power thinking (speakers that will help to apply new business strategies); Power Five Feedback (advice and insight from businesswoman with the Power 5); Power Connecting (connection, followup and networking with fellow members); and Power Planning (assistance in priority setting and goals).

Mayor Rob Parisi, Town Council President Susan McCartney, West Orange Public Information Officer Jessica Glicker, Gayle Naftaly, Nancy Molloy of Complistaff (a recruiting service); and Financial Planner Melanie Harada, were on hand to welcome the Exchange to West Orange.

WOPAS provided refreshments, along with Jonathan LaTorre of Fusion Lounge and Restaurant, which just reopened at 274 Main Street.
