WEST ORANGE, NJ - With a possible storm front moving into the West Orange area early next week, Mayor Robert D. Parisi would like to invite parents and kids from toddler age through grade 5 to attend the West Orange Rec Department’s annual Halloween event, Friday, October 26, at 6:00 pm. The event will be at Liberty Middle School, 1 Kelly Drive. Festivities will kick off in the school auditorium with the Goblin Parade. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume in various age groups, and a special adult division will also be included.
After the contest, the West Orange Rotary Club will be giving each participant a free pumpkin and snacks in their Pumpkin Patch located on the outside grounds of the school. Materials will be provided to decorate the pumpkins as well. An additional arts & crafts project will also be offered. There will be other activities including guessing contests and the very special “water balloon target shoot”.
