WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Mustang Pee Wees headed into their championship game against Clifton on Sunday, with high hopes for a repeat of last year's win, but lost, 21-12, in a tough back-and-forth game.

Running back Makhi Green had 143 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Zander Lipsey had tough runs up the middle for 17 yards and completed one pass for 11 yards. Quarterback Sean Brown completed 3 passes for 32 yards. Jayson Raines caught 2 passes for 21 yards and Jordan Quiles caught 2 for 22. Shakhi Carson and Chris Parsons gave outstanding efforts on defense and left it all out there on the field. Pharele Brun, Adam Ashby, Zander Timothy and Dorian Rawls also gave it their all on defense.

The 3rd year players moving up include Ashby, Brown, Carson, Quiles, Parsons, Raines, Syncere Flanagan,  Colton Lehrer, Zander Lipsey, Divine Zaire, Adrian Charles and Aidan Healey. They had a great 3 year run and finish with a 26-3 record including a 17 game win streak and one championship.

After an undefeated season, the Pee Wee Mustangs loss to Clifton was disappointing but not reflective of an otherwise stellar and successful season that rivaled that of a high school team.

Coach Andrew Mazurek had high praise for his team and proudly listed the team roster:
