WEST ORANGE, NJ - The West Orange High School Boys Lacrosse team took the win over Morris Catholic on April 10 with a solid 9-2 victory.

The team has already bettered their season score after only 6 games and has a 3-3 record, losing to powerhouse Morris Beard, Roxbury and Morris Hills, and winning against North Brunswick, Newark East Side, and Morris Catholic.

"It looks like the kids are finally starting to pull together as a team," said parent Jenny Amarnath.

"There's definitely been more ball action and the ball was hardly on the ground during play," noted parent Doug Cumming.

Alex Elliott scored a hat trick and an additional goal for a total of four goals, while Nick Santa Cruz scored two goals along with Andrew DiPalma, and Senior Chris Hanley scored one.

The Mountaineer's sophomore goalie, Brian Crann, had 14 saves.

The WOHS Boys Lacrosse team will face off against Newark Academy on Saturday, April 12, at 2:00 pm. at the high school's Lincoln Field.
