West Orange High School Boys Step Team Places First in the Country

On May 26, 2012 the West Orange High School Boys Step Team placed first at the Youth Step USA competition in Harrisburg, PA. Not only did they win first at the competition, winning the event made them first in the country!
Sixteen teams in all competed. Some of the states teams traveled from included Oklahoma, North and South Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Texas and New Jersey. There are seventeen West Orange High School boys on the team.
Along with the team awards, an award was also given for National Coach of the Year. William Farley, the team’s advisor and music educator at WOHS, won the award.
