Health Department Staff Available for Assistance

The West Orange Department of Health and Welfare is a full-service public health agency providing a variety of services to WO residents. Have a question or a concern? Emailhealthdept@westorange.org or call (973) 325-4120. Staff is available to speak with you Monday-Friday, from 8:30am-4:30pm.

Get Linked to the Emergency Notification System

The West Orange Health Department is pleased to announce the addition of the Public Health Emergency Notification System. In the event of an emergency, this system enables the Health Department to communicate with residents and businesses instantly via email, text messaging, Facebook, Twitter and smartphone applications.Click to subscribe.

Blood Pressure Screenings at the JCC

The St. Barnabas Wellness Center at the JCC MetroWest is offering free blood pressure screenings on July 17 and August 21 from 9:30-10:30am, and June 26, July 24 and August 28 from 10:00-11:00am. To register, call (973) 322-5620 option 1 or email hschnapp@barnabashealth.org.

Infant CPR Training

This entry-level course, given by the CPR Training Center, teaches participants how to perform child and infant CPR, and provides training for foreign body airway obstruction (choking). For the schedule and registration, call the CPR Training Center at (973) 926-7407.

Mayor Robert Parisi is a lifelong resident of West Orange, NJ and was elected as Mayor in May of 2010. Prior to his election as Mayor, he served on the Township Council for 12 years. He is married to his wife Sheila, and has two children, Kelly, who will be attending college in the fall of 2014, and Robert, who will be a junior at West Orange High School.
