West Orange Business Strategist receives 2013 Women in business – Community Award from Magic 98.3

WEST ORANGE, NJ – (November 18, 2013) New Jersey native, personal/business strategist, inspirational speaker , author Willa Edgerton-Chisler, Chief Empowerment Officer (CEO) and founder of Symphony Coaching, LLC was recently honored with the 2013 Magic 98.3 “Women in Business – Contribution to the Community Award”. This award is bestowed to women who have made a difference to their community or Central Jersey. The award recognizes the West Orange resident’s efforts in volunteering and social responsibility.
Professionally Edgerton-Chisler serves as a dynamic speaker, workshop facilitator and a personal/business strategist. Using a diverse suite of approaches, she provides guidance to her clients enabling them to gain focus, move out of overwhelm, embrace change, identify their strengths, and invest in their business, career, and personal development. Her personal turnaround journey through mergers, launches, and spin-offs of corporate cultures at several major global communications companies is the basis for her work as contributing author of “Discover Your Inner Strength". With Diversity and Inclusion being her passion, Edgerton-Chisler shares her insights about this critical competency in the “Big Bold Business Advice from New Jersey Women Business Owners”.
A trained and certified professional coach, she is a member of the Int’l Coach Federation, Society of Human Resources Management and iPEC Institute. She holds additional certifications in HR, Leadership, MBTI®, Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Management from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Institute, and American University. She did her undergraduate work in psychology at Upsala College.
Edgerton-Chisler serves on the advisory board for the NJ Small Business Development Center - Rutgers-Newark, Dress for Success- Morris County Professional Women’s Group, and their coordinator/facilitator for the Going Places Network presented by Wal-Mart, and NJAWBO State Board as past State President. She has appeared on Princeton Community TV – The Dr. Joy Show - "Your Prescription for Total Wellness" and WCTC 1450AM “Life Advice” with Jennifer Lewis-Hall.
She also is a support angel for the Aids Resource Foundation for Children (ARFC), a nonprofit organization committed to helping children affected by HIV/AIDS, Women for Women International, and NJ Safe House. She has been recognized over the years for her tireless contributions from ARFC; Project Re Direct, Role Model, Inc., NJSDBC, Make a Wish Foundation, Inroads, Habitat for Humanity, Ms. Foundation, Community Food Bank, NJAWBO, Plays for Living, and the Vietnam Veterans Association.
