West Essex High School Participates in National Signing Day

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex High School participated in National Signing Day on Feb. 6 when four students signed with colleges where they will participate on athletic teams. West Essex Principal Gary Suda and West Essex Athletic Director Damion Macioci congratulated the students at a special signing ceremony in the high school's library.

Senior David Greczek, of Fairfield, signed with Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he will play Division 1 Soccer. David, who played for the West Essex Varsity Soccer Team as goalie for three years, plays soccer with MatchFit, a U.S. American League team with the U.S. Soccer Federation. New rules prohibited David from playing for West Essex as a senior.

West Essex High School senior Nour Aly of North Caldwell signed to play football for Wagner College in New York City.

West Essex High School Senior Amanda Cassera of Fairfield, who scored her 100th career goal this past season for the West Essex Varsity Field Hockey team, signed to play field hockey for Boston University.
