NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - West Essex High School Librarian Rosemary Rich wanted to celebrate the holidays in the school’s Library so she created a book tree using books which represent every section in the library including philosophy, science, history and literature.

Senior Gabe Angeles, who dropped by the library, was impressed with Rich's creativity. "It makes me happy," Angeles said. "I like it because it has geometry featured and I like geometry and it has the word "peace" and we all need some peace in our lives from time to time."

The blue and white tree was changed to have the red "A Christmas Carol," by Charles Dickens, added to the top just under the peace sign to make it more festive.

Rich was pleased with all of the positive comments from students.
