West Essex High School Culinary 1 Class Holds Cupcake Competition

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ - It was the war of the cupcakes at West Essex High School on Friday, March 1, as students used the skills they learned in a cake decorating unit of Jill Schneck’s Culinary 1 classes to create beautifully decorated cupcakes. The West Essex staff were invited to judge the cupcakes by class.

Execution: Spaghetti & Meatballs

Creativity: Sesame Street
Execution: Tie: Sesame Street, The Panda
Frappiccino won for creativity and execution.

Freshmen Juliana Riotto of Fairfield, along with Sabrina Palko and Kristina Barth of North Caldwell created some of the winning Sesame Street cupcakes. Their cupcakes were recognized for both creativity and execution.
