WEST CALDWELL, NJ - West Caldwell's Chief of Police Michael J. Bramhall sent out a community announcement Wednesday afternoon:

"The West Caldwell Police Department would like to remind everyone not to leave their vehicles running while unattended now that the cold weather is here. Do not leave your vehicle running in your driveway, or idling at the convenience store, as this provides the perfect opportunity for car thieves to steal your vehicle. If you observe anyone or anything suspicious or unusual in your neighborhoods, please do not hesitate to call us at 973-226-4114.  Please have a safe and healthy holiday season!"
