WARREN NJ -  Watchung Hills started out strong but couldn't hold on,as the Hillsborough Raiders pulled ahead in the second half on Friday night, with the final score, 70-36.

Of the 36 points scored by  Watchung Hills, 22 of them came from Justin LaCapra and Anthony Rocchietti. LaCapra and Rocchietti led the Warriors with 11 points each.

After the game, Head Coach Justin Salton said, "A lot of guys are getting their first varsity experience. I thought we played hard, we just have to clean up a few things. We turned the ball over too much, gave up too many second chance opportunities, too many offensive rebounds. We have to execute better offensively. Hillsborough is a good team."

Hillsborough's two returning starters, Matt Hornich and Jalen Parham combined for more than 20 points per game last year and are both solid rebounders.

This year is a rebuilding year for the Warriors. Salton said, " I told the guys, it's a process. We lost 8 seniors. We just have to get better each day and come back again Monday against Hunterdon Central. Just have to keep getting better, just have to find a way."

Watchung Hills takes on Hunterdon Central at home, Monday, Dec.23 at 1:30 p.m.
