Warren Lions Club Makes Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Distribution

WARREN, NJ - On Saturday, November 23, the Warren Lions Club Foundation made its annual distribution of Thanksgiving turkey dinners to the needy.  The Watchung Warren Rotary Club partnered with Lions in the program.

 
This was one of the largest Thanksgiving distributions in the Warren Lions Club’s history: 255 complete turkey dinners.  Dinners were provided to the Food Bank of Bound Brook, the North Plainfield Food Bank, the ARC of Somerset County, and to local families, including Cooperative Housing locations. 
 
Lion Ryan Woodring organized and managed the program.  Volunteers from the Warren Lions Club and the Watchung Warren Rotary Club collected the food, prepared the dinner baskets and delivered the baskets to the agencies named above for further distribution to the needy families.
 
The Lions welcomed the support and assistance from the Rotary Club ,which contributed $1,000 to the program, the Blue Ridge Hunting Club,which contributed $500, and the Elks Club.
