Walsh Tumbles and Recovers to Earn 4th Place for Chatham in Shuttle Hurdles

MILLBURN, NJ - John Walsh gave the crowd at the Millburn Relays something to talk about when he fell going over the final hurdle, managed to roll to an upright position and crossed the finish line as Chatham turned in its best time of the season in the shuttle hurdles in 1:06.46.
Walsh teamed with Phil Heller, Harris Eisenhardt and Justin Corbitt to place 4th in the shuttle hurdles.
"It was John's finish that amazed the crowd when he fell going over the last hurdle, did a forward roll, came up running and finished with very little time lost," Chatham coach Patrick Barry said.
Chatham's Distance Medley 4 X 800 team of Andrew Vena, Kevin Gesell, Parth Shah and Dominic Vernazza took first place in 8:15. 6.
The Cougars' 4 X 400 team of Kevin Gesell, James Langan, Andy Milone and Andrew Vena placed first in 3:29.9.
