EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers of the East Brunswick Senior Meals Program have been delivering a noontime meal to homebound East Brunswick residents for the past 28 years.   Dedicated volunteers have delivered meals five days a week, fifty two weeks a year throughout these 28 years. The program provides both a hot meal and a kind word to our frailest residents on a daily basis.  The program has helped maintain and sustain our parents and grandparents in their homes for as long as possible and in many cases until the end of their lives.  There is no way to compute the number of lives that have benefitted from this remarkable program during the past 28 years.   As the program enters its twenty-ninth year, it is in desperate need of new volunteers.  A commitment of as little as two hours per month is all that is required.  Of course more volunteer hours will be gladly accepted.  If you are able to assist in this worthwhile endeavor or know someone who is able to assist, please call Donna Faulkenberry at the East Brunswick Department on Aging at 732-390-6809.
