MILLBURN, NJ - The Newcomers and Neighbors Club of Short Hills/Millburn will be working in collaboration with the American Red Cross on Saturday to fill “goody bags” to send to our troops for St. Patrick’s Day. The goody bags will contain a mix of snacks and toiletries, which will be provided at the event.

Volunteers are invited to bring their families and join in the effort from 10:30 AM to noon on Saturday, March 9, at the Red Cross at 389 Millburn Avenue, Millburn.  Help is needed to bag the items and create personalized cards for the troops.

“It is a wonderful opportunity for you and your children to provide a little cheer to our men and women overseas this St. Patrick's Day,” said organizer Pooja Ahuja.

Volunteers are asked to bring travel sized toiletries (non-liquid, e.g., toothbrushes, bars of soap, chapsticks and wet wipes) and single-serve snacks (e.g., protein bars, candy and nuts) to the event on March 9, or to drop off before then at 14 Birch Lane (there will be a yellow container outside the front door).

Volunteers may RSVP by sending an email to pahuja39@hotmail.com.
