PATERSON, NJ - The second shooting in broad daylight in the city in as many days--and the fourth shooting of the weekend--has left a 19-year-old city man in stable, but extremely critical, condition.

According to Capt. Heriberto Rodriguez, at 4:15 p.m. Saturday, the victim was found by officers responding to a call in the 120 block of Godwin Avenue with a gunshot wound to the head and at least two other gunshot wounds on his body. He was transported by medical personnel to St. Joseph's Medical Center.

No arrest had been made by Sunday morning, and the investigation was continuing.

"After speaking with doctors, investigators learned that there was an entry wound to the forehead, one to the upper back and one to the lower back," Rodriguez said. "The victim underwent extensive surgery and is currently listed in stable, but extremely critical, condition."

The investigation has identified three individuals suspected in the shooting: Mark A. Edwards, 20; Karan Abrams, 19; and Keshawn Frazier, 18; all of Paterson. The Paterson Police are offering cash up to $1,000 to anyone that can provide the suspects present location. All information received will be kept confidential.

A day earlier, at 1:30 p.m., a Wayne man was shot on Grand Street and remains hospitalized with wounds to his leg and abdomen. Then, earlier Saturday morning, two men, ages 18 and 20, were shot in front of Rosa Parks Chicken Restaurant on Rosa Parks Blvd.

Police have not commented on whether any of the shootings might be connected.
