Vehicles Stolen from Westfield Driveways

January 28, 2014 9:22 p.m.
Cristobal Hernandez, 24, of Kenilworth was arrested for an active warrant issued by Union Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Hernandez was transported to Headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance from Union Municipal Court.
January 28, 2014 10:33 p.m.
Officers responded to Kean University Police Department for a prisoner pick-up. Upon their arrival, they placed Charles Pollard, 51, of Rahway under arrest on the strength of Westfield Municipal Court warrant #2005 001668 in the amount of $1,347.00. Mr. Pollard was transported to Headquarters, processed and placed into cell #3 in lieu of bail.

Clifford Lawson, 55, of 15 Lincoln Park Apt 2B in Newark was arrested at Police Headquarters for an outstanding $750.00 Westfield Criminal Warrant. Lawson could not post bail and was remanded to jail pending a January 30, 2014 court date.

Kyle Harvin, 37, of Westfield was arrested at Police Headquarters for an outstanding $1,209.00 Westfield traffic warrant. He also had additional detainers from Irvington Municipal Court totaling $1,279.00. Harvin could not post bail and was remanded to jail pending a January 30, 2014 court date.
January 29, 2014 1:30 p.m.
Osmond Lewis, 42, was arrested as the result of a motor vehicle stop for hindering his own apprehension, by providing a false name to officers in an attempt to conceal an existing Plainfield Municipal Court warrant. Bail was set at $500.00. No 10%.
January 30, 2014 8:34 a.m.
A resident in the 1000 block of Columbus Avenue reported unknown actors stole his motor vehicle while the keys were in the ignition and the engine was warming, while parked in his driveway. A neighbor spotted two individuals in the victim’s vehicle traveling towards Garwood.

Lori Martino, 48, of Westfield was arrested at her residence for two outstanding Westfield traffic warrants totaling $137.00. Martino was released on her own recognizance by court.
February 3, 2014 8:40 a.m.
Report of a stolen motor vehicle, a 2004 white Acura, in the 1800 block of Boynton Avenue. Victim reports that between 10:00 p.m. last night and 6:30 a.m. this morning, actor(s) unknown took the locked vehicle from victim’s driveway.
