UPDATED-Sparta High School Boys Basketball Beats Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - The Sparta High School boys basketball team defeated Hackettstown on Saturday, 49-39, in the semifinal round of the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament.

Senior Mitch Cohen led the team with 14 points including two successful free throws. Senior Austin Unglaub put up 11 and Senior Matt Chemis contributed 9.  There were five points each from Teddy Fischer and Dylan Mendal, three from Kevin Foulds and two from Anthony Argula.

The Spartans play away on Wednesday at Morris Knolls High School. The next round of the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Tournament is schedueled for Friday night at Hopatcong High School at 7 p.pm, where they will face Pope John.
