The Montclair Underdog Film Festival is co-produced by the Montclair State University Film Program and a group of dedicated film, TV and communication professionals from Montclair and the surrounding community.
"The Filmmaking Program here at Montclair State University is thrilled to be able to co-sponsor The Underdog Film Festival and give our students and the public a chance to see these wonderful and rarely seen films. Since our film students make mostly short films, it's very beneficial for them to see the best of the best short films being honored by the Academy," says Susan Skoog, Filmmaking Program faculty member.
“The Festival is growing every year, in fact, we doubled our audience from in 2011! The audience loves these amazing films” It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring together students and the local community to share an experience that inspires, educates and entertains. Says, Jeanne Reilly, a Video Producer at Kraft Foods, and one of the Producers of the Festival.
