Two Scotch Plains Residents Report Identity Fraud with Credit, Debit Cards

1/6 A student at the Scotch Plains Fanwood High School reported being a victim of a theft. He stated an unknown suspect(s) removed his iPhone from his backpack while he was at practice. The phone was valued at approximately $250.
1/6 A resident of Mountain Ave. reported being a victim of harassment. He stated that while walking unknown suspects yelled at him.
1/6 A resident of Prospect Ave. reported being a victim of fraud. She stated that unknown suspect(s) made approximately $150 in purchases on his debit card without his authorization.
1/8 A resident of Winding Brook Way. reported being a victim of fraud. She stated that an unknown suspect(s) made approximately $1,500 in purchases on her credit card without her authorization.
1/8 A resident of East Second St. reported being a victim of Criminal Mischief. She stated sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) threw bottles filled with an unknown substance on her lawn.
1/9 A resident of William St. reported being a victim of harassment. She stated that she has been receiving numerous phone calls from an ex-friend.
1/11 Julio Maldonado, 22, of Goodmans Crossing Clark was arrested for a $500 outstanding warrant issued by the South Plainfield court. Officer Budzinski stopped Maldonado for a motor vehicle violation on East Second St. and discovered the warrant. He was transported to H.Q. where he was processed and released.
