NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - A New Providence resident is being held in Union County Jail for $20,000 bail after being arrested for drug possession.
Members of the New Providence Police Department arrested Gregory Hryniewicki, 19, of New Providence on Saturday for the possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hryniewicki’s arrest was the culmination of a long investigation by the detective bureau led by Det. Donald Sretenovic, which led to the securing of a search warrant.
The drugs allegedly include MDMA (commonly known as “Molly”), Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) and marijuana.
Brihanna Cuttone, 22, of Springfield was charged with possession of heroin and marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Joshua Lazaro, 18, of New Providence was charged with obstruction of justice after he attempted to obstruct the execution of the search warrant. Both individuals are now awaiting court appearances.
A Superior Court appearance in Elizabeth is pending for Hryniewicki, who is being detained at the Union County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
