SUMMIT, NJ – Concertgoers packed Summit’s Village Green on Tuesday night to enjoy the fourth installment of this summer’s Hot Summer Nights concert series.  Total Soul, the featured act, rocked the venue with a performance of popular Motown, soul, and R&B music including Barry White’s “My Everything” and the classic “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”

Summit Department of Community Program’s director, Judith Josephs, addressed the crowd and announced that there was “lots more fun” to enjoy this summer.

She said that as part of National Night Out, next Tuesday the Department of Community Programs will be holding another free concert.  The concert will begin at 7PM on the Village Green and will feature Slick, a rock and roll band.  At 6PM that same night, there will be a magic show, a bouncy house, rides, and more.  Representatives from the Summit Rescue Squad, Fire Department, and Police Department will also be at the Village Green.

This upcoming Thursday night at 8PM, the Department of Community Programs will be playing “The Muppets” movie on a giant inflatable screen at the Village Green.  There will be a family dance party before the movie begins.

Ms. Josephs also thanked everyone for attending and acknowledged the concert’s sponsors, particularly Investors Bank, and the concert’s newest sponsor, Nissan Next.

Kevin Cummings, President/CEO of Investors Bank, and Eric Weingrad from Nissan Next, also spoke at the concert.  Mr. Cummings thanked everyone for attending and Mr. Weingrad urged people to visit the Nissan Next tent to enter a raffle and win either a Visa or Starbucks gift card.
